If 2020 wasn’t such a complete twat, next weekend we would have had an incredible London based 2 piece called Modern Technology headlining Cosmic Carnage at The Moon. It would have been fucking class, we would have drank Red Stripes, pumped our firsts to some colossal riffs with purpose and be oblivious to the term social distancing (we probably would have guessed it meant staying home and having a few spliffs or something). This obviously couldn’t happen but with the heart-breaking lack of live music this year, at least new releases are still trickling through and I’m delighted to be providing an exclusive stream of their monstrous new album, “Service Provider” right here.
Their first
full-length, recorded by cosmic hero, Wayne Adams of Big Lad /Petbrick at Bear
Bites Horse Studio and Mastered by James Plotkin of Khanate / OLD. Their setup
is vox/bass/drums and they make an infectious racket. Think a Big Business sort
of vibe but more grumpy.
Their music explores themes of mental health, austerity and inequality and these guys also run label/night Human Worth which raises money for such causes, fucking heroes!

20% of all proceeds from the record go to mental health support charity Black Minds Matter and The Trussell Trust, who provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty.
